Abstract

As the obesity epidemic marches on, comorbid diagnoses arrive earlier in life. In children, the main liver manifestation of this epidemic is nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), now the most common cause of chronic liver disease worldwide, with the staggering prediction that its progression has become the leading cause of end-stage liver disease.
