Sadly Nishant Pawar is no more. Please consider help other children listed under Appeal to donate section.
Nishant Pawar, a 13 year old boy  is suffering from Wilson disease. Wilson disease is a rare genetic disorder characterized by excess copper deposition  in the body. Nishant who is the younger of two siblings hailing from a village near Pune is fighting for his life, as he is suffering from end stage liver disease.

He was detected to be suffering from Wilson disease at the age of five years, when he developed distention of abdomen. His  abdominal girth increased by six inches. Then followed, regular visits and admissions at Dinanath Mangeshkar hospital in Pune.
In 2006 another tragedy struck the family, when his father who was a worker in a factory lost his job due to closing down of that unit. The family could not afford his treatment for few months. This worsened his medical condition...

After a long struggle of nine years and almost 30 hospitalisations later his liver has failed due to advanced cirrhosis. He is deeply jaundiced, his blood does not clot and his abdomen often swells up with fluid.

Mr. Dadatray Patil, his father, “Nishant is requesting for liver transplant to be done. He has suffered a lot, but he does not want to trouble me. When his symptoms increase, he takes medicines and tries to hide his condition from me”. Tears fill his father’s eyes and he could not say anything further. Mr. Patil runs a small stall of eatables and snacks in his village and he has got a loan of eight lakhs, which is a huge amount for this family of six, where he is the only earning member.

Nishant is suffering from end stage liver disease and needs an early liver transplant. He is under the care of Dr. Aabha Nagral at  Jaslok hospital and Research Centre. He is listed on Cadaver Liver Transplant city waiting list for liver transplant. The cost of this procedure is Rs 13 lakhs. The patient will need immunosuppressive drugs after transplantation, the cost of which is about Rs 20,000/- to Rs 25,000/- per month for the initial few months and then about Rs. 10,000 a  month. Children's Liver Foundation (CLF) is dedicated to support deserving Children suffering from Liver disease. His family has  requested financial and medical support.

This is an earnest appeal for financial help to save his life.

We shall appreciate your contact details to acknowledge receipt & benevolent gesture of yours.
