CLF initiates free treatment for HCV positive patients from February 15, 2013. CLF (Children's Liver Foundation) in collaboration with INASL (Indian Association of the Study of the Liver) and Think Foundation undertook a study to find out the incidence of Hepatitis B and C among children suffering with Thalassemia. The rates of this infection from our initial findings were very alarming. Most of these patients are very young and are increasingly under the risk of getting life threatening complications because of these infections. CLF undertook the medical evaluation of these kids to determine the suitability to start treatment. Various options to provide support to these kids were evaluated. |
